Taking a cue from the sessions that produced the band's heady '96 debut, Electronic.... generates the warm analog hum you've come to associate with the unusually brilliant output from Crescent's own Bristol-based 'studio'. The ESC recordings are characterized by distant vintage synth drones anchored by Matt's looped, jazzy drumming; both are underpinned by the golden, haunting sound of vinyl tach'ing @ 16 RPM, coalescing beautifully as an immaculately stoned rhythm in the background.
