Dirty Projectors received outstanding universal praise for their recent album Bitte Orca including the number 3 album of the year in Uncut and a top 20 position both in Mojo and NME’s end of year polls. Bitte Orca was also nominated for the Uncut Music Award. In the US, the album fared highly in the New Yorker (#2), Pitchfork (#2), Pop Matters (#4), Rolling Stone (#6) and Time Magazine (#2).

2009 was a busy year for Dirty Projectors with performances on the Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon plus collaborations with David Byrne and the Roots.

The band starts 2010 off strong with very special shows at New York City’s Lincoln Center as part of the American songbook series on Feb. 19th and a co-headline performance with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Feb. 27th. We hope to have Dirty Projectors back in the UK in 2010.
