AUSTRA PRESENT VIDEO FOR 'SPELLWORK'

Toronto's Austra dart into 2012 with a new video for Spellwork from their debut album, Feel It Break, which was named New York Magazine's best album of 2011 and which featured in many debuts of the year lists here in the UK.

Spellwork was directed by photographer/filmmaker Yelena Yemchuk, whose impressive director credits include the Smashing Pumpkins videos Zero and Thirty-Three. Shot in the forgotten woods around Egberts Lake Park, New Jersey, Yelena describes the video as a "surreal fairy tale".

"The music videos that Yelena made with the Smashing Pumpkins in the 90s are some of my favorite videos of all time. Having the chance to work with an artist with so much energy and originality was inspiring and a huge honor for me and my band!" declares Austra's Katie Stelmanis.
